Vimeotheque for Elementor 1.0.4 is now available. This update adds a new Elementor widget, Vimeotheque Video Duration, which displays the length of a Vimeo video directly in your Elementor designs, with no shortcodes or custom code required.
What’s new in 1.0.4
Video duration is one of the first things visitors look at before clicking play. Until now, showing it in an Elementor layout meant adding a shortcode or writing custom code. With the new widget, you simply drag it into your template and style it like any other Elementor element.
The widget reads the duration stored for each video imported with Vimeotheque and displays it for the current post. It works in:
- Single video templates – show the duration next to the title, the player or the video details.
- Archive pages – video categories, tags and author pages styled with Elementor.
- Elementor Loop Grid templates – add a duration label to every item in your video grids.
Widget options
Under the Content tab you can set:
- Text before and Text after – add a label around the duration, for example “Duration: ” or ” min”.
- HTML Tag – output the duration as a
div, spanorpelement, depending on your layout. - Alignment – left, center or right, with separate settings for desktop, tablet and mobile.
Under the Style tab you can change the text color and the full typography (font family, size, weight, line height, letter spacing and more).
Smart behavior in the editor and on the front-end
- While editing a template in Elementor, the widget shows a
00:00:00placeholder when the preview post isn’t a video, so you can position and style it without importing a video first. - On the front-end, the widget outputs nothing for posts that aren’t videos, so a shared template never shows an empty or broken label.
- If your Vimeotheque PRO version includes the built-in video duration feature, the widget uses it automatically, so the duration shown in Elementor matches the duration shown by the Vimeotheque shortcode and block.
