Vimeotheque Lite 2.3.7: Better Series Display Control and More Reliable Vimeo Playlists

Vimeotheque Lite 2.3.7 is now available. This release focuses on the Default Series theme, giving site owners more control over how featured video details are displayed, while also improving playlist behavior when Vimeo
videos cannot be loaded.

The Default Series theme now includes new settings for showing or hiding the featured video title and content. This makes it easier to adapt the video page layout to your content style, whether you prefer a cleaner player-focused view or a richer presentation with title and description visible below the featured video.

This update also displays the selected Series video title and content under the featured player. For longer descriptions, Vimeotheque now includes a collapsible “See more” control, keeping the page tidy while still making the full content available to visitors.

For developers and custom integrations, version 2.3.7 adds REST API support for the new Default Series display settings. These options can now be managed consistently through the API as well as through the plugin interface.

We also fixed Vimeo playlist handling for cases where a selected video cannot be loaded because of privacy settings or access restrictions. Playlist state updates are now more reliable: the active playlist item changes only after the new video has successfully loaded. This prevents the interface from pointing to a video that failed to play and creates a smoother viewing experience.

We recommend updating to Vimeotheque Lite 2.3.7 to take advantage of the new display controls and the improved playlist reliability.
